Heike Schneider-Matzigkeit’s photography encompasses the pathos, blurred sexuality and otherworldly beauty of the modern age. It is this otherworldly nature of her photography that is so captivating, whether it be haunting portraits, evocative club shots, or startling rock ‘n’ roll imagery.

She has recently collaborated with a host of musical luminaries such as Sonic Youth, Gary Numan, Klaxons, Brett Anderson, Echo and the Bunnymen, Primal Scream, The Tears, IAMX and The Dresden Dolls. Additionally, her live photography has resulted in iconic shots of the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Franz Ferdinand, The Libertines, Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers, The Cramps, Interpol and Iggy Pop.

Her work has been exhibited across the European continent and appears prolifically in many genre-defining publications. She currently resides between London and Berlin.
